CANNA-FACT: It is highly improbable for cannabis flower/vapes to be contaminated with fentanyl. Fentanyl is smoked (vaporized) at 466°C, while cannabis is typically smoked/vaped at 200°C. Additionally, an analysis published in September 2024 found that among 12 million illicit drug samples from across the U.S., there was no evidence of fentanyl co-occurrence with cannabis.

CANNA-FACT: When using medicinal cannabis, the minimum effective dose (also called the "optimal dose") is the smallest dose needed to achieve therapeutic benefit.

In June of this year, the LA Times dropped a bombshell article revealing the alarming extent of pesticide contamination within cannabis products sold through California's regulated market. Josh Swider, CEO of the San Diego-based cannabis testing laboratory Infinite Chemical Analysis Labs and one of the independent testers who contributed to the investigation, will break down what the investigation found and steps consumers can take to protect themselves from contamination in the cannabis marketplace.
